An original photograph is unlike anything else. I remember the first time I encountered Paul Caponigro's book Landscape. The beauty of it was staggering—so quiet, so elemental, it took my breath away. Years later, standing before those same images as original prints in a gallery, I was undone all over again. Why? Because no book, no screen, no mechanical reproduction can ever hold the subtlety and soul of an original photograph. To stand before it is to feel the artist's hand, their heartbeat, their humanity.
Later, I was able to acquire original prints of my favorite photographs by Paul, and I can truly say that having them around has made me a better photographer. They provide a guidepost—a reminder of what a truly great photograph looks and feels like. In their presence, I find inspiration and humility.
It is in this spirit that I am launching my Studio Original Print Program. Each month, one carefully chosen photograph will be released—signed, numbered, and offered as a limited-edition print for $475. These 12-inch prints, matted to 14x18 inches in museum-quality 4-ply, are offered far below their usual $850 as a gesture of gratitude. Only five prints will be available each month at this special price. Once they are gone, the price returns to $850.
This is a fleeting offer. A quiet invitation. A moment held and shared. Each month's image will be announced in my newsletter, on my blog, and across social media. Print Specifications:
Original prints are meticulously crafted using the Epson SureColor P5370 Professional Photographic Printer, which employs Epson's outstanding UltraChrome PRO 10 Ink Technology. They are printed on Canson's premium Baryta Prestige II or Platine Fibre Rag papers, renowned for their exceptional quality. Each print is carefully matted with 100% cotton mat board to ensure superior quality and archival preservation. The acid-free construction guarantees long-lasting protection, mirroring the same standard used by museums to safeguard fine photographs and other paper-based artworks in their collections.
